PVCC's nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006; telephone number 212.363.5555). Its surgical technology and emergency medical services programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (35 East Wacker Drive, Suite 1970, Chicago, IL; telephone number 312.553.9355).
The College is approved by the U.S. Department of Education for various federal funding programs and by the State Department of Education for the payment of veterans' benefits.
Campus
The campus of PVCC is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Interstate 64 and State Route 20. Entrance to the College is from State Route 20 onto College Drive. The College occupies 114 acres in the foothill country of Albemarle County near Monticello. The campus consists of the 105,000 square foot Main Building, the 36,500 square foot V. Earl Dickinson Building for Humanities and Social Sciences, the 34,000 square foot Kluge-Moses Science Building and the 10,000 square foot Stultz Center for Business and Career Development.
Enrollment
The number of students enrolled in credit classes in the 2011-12 academic year was 7,887. Since the College opened in 1972, more than 200,000 students have taken credit and noncredit classes.

Hours of Operation
Normal operating hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday (office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. For summer hours check the Admissions & Advising Center.

Service Area
The College's service region includes the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson and the City of Charlottesville.
Tuition and Fees
Effective fall 2013, Virginia residents pay $133.65 per credit hour. This includes a student activity fee of $1.90 per credit hour, an institutional fee of $1.75 cents per credit hour and a technology fee of $7.50 per credit hour. Out-of-state residents pay $328.25 per credit hour. This includes a capital fee of $18.00 per credit hour in addition to the student activity fee, institutional fee, and technology fee.
Effective spring 2013, Virginia residents pay $127.65 per credit hour. This includes a student activity fee of $1.40 per credit hour, an institutional fee of $1.75 cents per credit hour and a technology fee of $7.50 per credit hour. Out-of-state residents pay $319.75 per credit hour. This includes a capital fee of $15.50 per credit hour in addition to the student activity fee, institutional fee, and technology fee.
