The Piedmont Virginia Community College Educational Foundation was established in 1982 to cultivate and provide financial and in-kind support for Piedmont Virginia Community College. The Educational Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from the business, financial and professional areas in the communities served by the College and of administrative and faculty personnel from the College.
Vision
The PVCC Educational Foundation will become one of the most respected community college foundations in the nation. The Foundation will be characterized by a strong, committed board and the acquisition of substantial resources capable of making a discernable difference in the quality of PVCC's programs and services.
Mission
The mission of the PVCC Educational Foundation is to assist the College in obtaining resources to achieve its mission of opportunity, access and excellence.

1. Teamwork. Philanthropy is a partnership with donors and the public, conducted in the public trust.
2. Integrity. Philanthropy must be undertaken seriously and responsibly, adhering to all laws, principles and ethics of fiduciary responsibility.
3. Stewardship. Responsible grant making is informed by different perspectives, opinions and experiences, reflecting the mission of the College.
The Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions to it are deductible to the extent permitted by law.
